I’m a professional artist; specifically, a graphic designer… at least, that is, in training!

While I love to paint pet portraits, especially capturing their personalities in a way that a photograph simply can’t, I also enjoy working with a good spreadsheet; obviously a holdover from my accounting days! My left-brained, logical tendencies frequently cause conflict with my right-brained, sensitive artist tendencies, almost to “head-acheian” proportions (I just invented a new word!).

Recently, I’ve discovered a passion for both creative and technical writing – about anything and everything! Using the conflict between both sides of the brain to my advantage, I hope to be able to develop my writing “voice” while writing about things that invoke passion in my soul… and perhaps in yours, too!

If you’re the least bit observant, you have probably already figured out from the photos on my site that I love “redhaired” dogs, particularly golden retrievers. You can be assured that their antics – and their very soul – will be a subject of many posts!

Maybe my own book needs to remain inside of me, but I can’t help but wonder where this will lead in a few years. Please wish me luck!

Though the site is very much under construction, I hope to have things all set up very soon. This WordPress editor is quite different from my usual “Dreamweaver” editing for my website. I still haven’t figured out how to find all of the things that create the bells and whistles – yet!
